1. Accepting these terms

Installing or using SmartCleanup means you accept what follows. If there is something here you do not accept, please do not use the app.

2. What you may do with the app

Z-SOFT CO., LTD grants you a personal licence to use SmartCleanup on your own devices. The licence is yours alone and cannot be transferred.

You may not resell the app, redistribute a modified copy, or take the app apart beyond what the law allows.

3. What the app does, and does not do

SmartCleanup analyses the photos, videos and files on your phone and suggests what could be cleaned. It never deletes anything on its own: every deletion is one you selected and confirmed.

SmartCleanup is not a backup service. It keeps no copy of your photos anywhere, and cannot recover anything that has been deleted permanently.

4. Responsibility for deletions

Groups and suggestions are produced by estimating algorithms. They can be wrong: two photos the app considers alike may differ in a way that matters to you. So review before you confirm; the final decision is yours.

Be aware of the cases that cannot be undone:

• Photos and videos deleted on Android 7.1 to 10, or when you chose "Delete permanently" in the app's Settings.
• Files deleted in the Files section of the full Android edition.
• Photos in Recently Deleted or the trash once they expire, or once you empty it.
• iCloud-synced photos: deleting on one device deletes on every device signed in to the same iCloud account.

We recommend backing up the photos that matter to you before a large cleanup.

5. Optimizing photos and videos

When you compress a video or turn a Live Photo into a still, the app creates the new copy first, keeping its date, location, Favorite and albums. The original is deleted only when you choose "Replace", through the same confirmed deletion flow. A compressed copy is lower in quality than the original; that is what compression is.

6. Purchases

If the app offers paid content or features, payment goes through the App Store or Google Play, and refunds follow the policy of the store you bought from. We never receive your payment details.

7. The full Android edition

The full Android edition is distributed outside Google Play and asks for All files access. Download it only from the link on the app's official site; we are not responsible for copies obtained elsewhere.

8. The app is provided "as is"

We work to make the app behave correctly and test its key algorithms automatically. But we do not promise that it will never fail, that it runs on every device, or that it stays compatible with every future operating system version.

9. Limitation of liability

To the extent the law allows, Z-SOFT is not liable for indirect damage arising from use of the app, including the loss of photos, videos or files whose deletion you confirmed.

Where liability cannot be excluded, it is capped at the amount you paid for the app in the preceding 12 months.

10. Changes to the app and these terms

We may update the app and change this page. Significant changes are reflected in the date at the top of the page. Continuing to use the app after a change means you accept the new version.

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Vietnam.
